A few days ago, I listened to a sermon by Charles H. Spurgeon titled "Lessons From Lydia's Conversion - Acts 16:13-15", read by British pastor Gavin Childress. It was a very interesting sermon on God's providence. What amazed me about Lydia was that as soon as she and her household were baptized, she invited Paul and his disciples to her home. Her response is a great example of discipleship 101. The scripture inspired me to write the following poem.
Fellowship
May you always feel welcome
In my humble abode.
Partaking in fellowship
with a cup of coffee or tea
accompanied by a slice of
Pie à la mode.
May the Holy Spirit guide
our joyous occasion with
wisdom, scripture, and prayer.
Please feel free to reach out.
I can promise you a listening ear.
I've included the sermon for this tidbit so God's providence can work in your life. I thank God for Pastor Childress and his Ministry. "The Spurgeon Sermon Series features a growing collection of sermons by Charles H. Spurgeon recorded by British pastor Gavin Childress. Subscribe for regular uploads of powerful Spurgeon sermons that exalt our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and encourage a closer walk with Him," as quoted from his channel. https://youtu.be/Ig3VmidhJk8?si=tkA1nKGW9IawJG48
If you're spiritually, emotionally, and physically bankrupt, please don't stop praying, reading your Bible, or attending church because you don't know how God will answer your prayer. God bless.
