"Hungry Hearts" - New Segment

For over ten years, my dear Sister in Christ has volunteered at our local ministries, feeding those in need at the "Hunger Pantry." She has most recently started volunteering at "Hungry Hearts." Over the years, she has distributed biblical leaflets to those in need, along with meals, for both ministries. We all have physical and spiritual needs that must be met; what a beautiful gesture from my dear friend, finding time to feed both. Therefore, I have added a new segment to the blog, sharing these scriptures; we pray that they may be a blessing to you.

Our bible study group has made a joint commitment to pray for persecuted Christians. My friend, who distributes biblical leaflets to those in need, also offered the following scripture and prayer to be used in prayer for persecuted Christians worldwide.

Dear Heavenly Father:

We will not cease praying for our Christian brothers and sisters who live in countries where they are persecuted by Islamic extremists.

We pray that they will be filled with knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they may walk in the manner worthy of you, Lord, fully pleasing to you: bearing fruit in in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of you; being strengthened with all power, according to your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to you, Father, who has qualified them to share in the inheritance of those who walk in your light.
